Ramzi Asgarov

(1967-1992)

Ramzi Asgar oghlu Asgarov was born on 21 January 1967 in Lachin.
He completed his secondary education in Lachin and was admitted to the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy (present-day UNEC), named after D. Bunyadzada.
Following Armenia’s territorial claims against Azerbaijan, he transferred to the part-time division and voluntarily joined the war. He served as a fighter in the Lachin Regional Battalion and later as an officer of Military Unit No. 811.
Ramzi Asgarov was killed heroically in the battle for the Gulebirt area of Lachin on 25 May 1992.
He was laid to rest in the Beylagan district.
At the time of his martyrdom, Ramzi Asgarov was a fifth-year student.
