Born on 7 November 1963 in the village of Gagali, Aghsu district of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 1971 to 1981, he received his secondary education and was a participant and award-winner of the Republican Chemistry Olympiad in various years. He completed his military service in Wurzen, Germany between 1982 and 1984.
In 1984-1988, he studied at the G. V. Plekhanov Moscow Institute of National Economy, Faculty of Non-food Commodity Science and Trade Management. In 1988, he graduated from the same faculty with distinction.
From 1990 to 1992, he pursued full-time postgraduate studies at the Saint Petersburg University of Finance and Economics. In 1992, he defended his candidate dissertation entitled “Research on Marketing in Enterprises” and was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences (PhD in Economics).
Since 2002, he has been conducting research for his doctoral dissertation on “Problems of Organizing Comprehensive Marketing Research in the Context of National Market Globalization.”

From 1993 to 2013, he worked at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics as Head of Laboratory, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Associate Professor.
Since September 2013, he has been serving at the Institute of Economic Research under the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Department of Business Management, as a Senior Research Fellow and Associate Professor (0.5 FTE).
He also teaches at the MBA Center of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics as a PhD in Economics, Associate Professor.
